Waist Cut Aero-Tex Two Part Liner
This is the most advanced Waterproof/Windproof/Breathable material. Gore-Tex and other breathable materials have a 20% or more plastic "Polyurethane" coating on the face fabric. Our new Aero-Tex Liner has no Polyurethane coating on the face fabric or nylon mesh inner liner. This liner is more breathable in the warmer temperatures.
We add zippers in the Aero- Tex mesh lined shell to install the Thermoloft Insulation. This two part liner allows you to ride in extreme cold weather. With the Thermoloft Insulation it has a cold weather rating down to -20F up to 55F. Zip out the Thermoloft insulation and ride in comfort from 40F to 90F still be 100% Waterproof/Windproof/Breathable.
If your riding without the Liner and the rain starts, it takes seconds to unzip the jacket and put the liner on. It is not necessary to zip the Liner into the jacket for quick on/off. For seven or more months of the year for most parts of the country, from -20f to 85f, the liner can be zipped in.
A common question is: "What if it's hot and raining and I want to stay dry?". The liners can be left on even in hot weather. You will be more comfortable than any other Waterproof/Breathable/Windproof jacket in the world. Without any Polyurethane coating on the outer jacket and inner Liner the Aero-Tex can perform better especially in warmer weather. When it’s over 85F and raining, most riders prefer not wearing the liners in the rain. The uncoated jacket or pant completely dries in less than five minutes when riding.
Some riders think that it is better to have the rain gear worn over gear instead of on the inside. See: Why Wear the Aero-Tex Liner on the Inside? Our long distant riders love wearing the Aero-Tex Liners in a sleeping bag or when walking around the campground during cold nights.
