2 Part Jacket Liner

$228.00

Each liner is made custom here in the USA. This is the most advanced Waterproof/Windproof/Breathable material. Gore-Tex and other breathable materials have a 20% or more plastic “Polyurethane” coating on the face fabric. Our new Aero-Tex Liner has no Polyurethane coating on the face fabric or nylon mesh inner liner. This liner is more breathable in the warmer temperatures.  Another new feature is the Hydrophilic Nylon Mesh Lining on the inside.  The Hydrophilic Lining wicks away sweat and makes the liner more comfortable, even when worn directly against the skin.

This two part liner allows you to ride in extreme cold weather. With the Thermoloft Insulation it has a cold weather rating down to -20F up to 55F. Zip out the Thermoloft insulation and ride in comfort from 40F to 90F still be 100% Waterproof/Windproof/Breathable.  Note:  We don’t factor in wind chill.  On a naked bike riding 60 mph, at 30 Degrees outside temperature this will be a miinu 20 Degree windchill rating.

If your riding without the Liner and the rain starts, it takes seconds to unzip the jacket and put the liner on. It is not necessary to zip the Liner into the jacket for quick on/off. For seven or more months of the year for most parts of the country, from -20f to 85f, the liner can be left zipped in.

Sizing Guide:
To ensure proper sizing Motoport needs: Height / Weight / Sleeve (from center at base of neck around outside of arms to bend in wrist). To give us the most accurate sleeve measurement, follow the Dress Shirt Sleeve instructions below. Actual Chest / Actual Waist. (No jacket or pant sizes.)Do not inhale when measuring chest. Waist should be measured where you tighten the belt. All measurements taken in a relaxed position. Tape measure should also be comfortable, not tight or loose.NOTE:If ordering Aero-Tex liner we need a neck circumferance measurement at collar height or 2″ from the base of your neck.Follow these instructions to measure for correct sleeve lengthMeasuring a motorcycle jacket alone is not good. Please help to confirm the proper sleeve length by measuring a Dress Shirt Sleeve length as shown below. Also make sure to mention when providing this measurement, that this is a dress shirt sleeve length not a jacket sleeve length measurement, measured as shown in Sizing Detail.

Note: Your dress shirt sleeve measured as shown above should be approximately 2″ shorter than the jacket sleeve length measured.

After we receive the above measurements, we will advise if any other measurements are necessary.

A common question is: “What if it’s hot and raining and I want to stay dry”? The liner can be left on even in warmer weather. You will still be more comfortable than any other Waterproof/Breathable/Windproof jacket in the world. Without any Polyurethane coating on the outer suit material, the Aero-Tex can perform better. When its over 85F and raining, most riders prefer not wearing the liners. Our gear doesn’t absorb any water and will be dry in minutes after a rain.

Some riders comment that they don’t like the outer shell getting wet when the waterproof liner is on the inside. The uncoated outer jacket material completely dries in less than five minutes when riding. With the majority of other suits the outer Polyurethane coated shell gets wet before hitting the waterproof membrane. The Polyurethane traps the water, sometimes taking hours to dry. See Polyurethane in the “Dictionary,” to learn of all the other problems it causes.

Our gear doesn’t absorb any water and will be dry in minutes after a rain. Note: If your gear is absorbing water, part of maintenance is to spray the outer shell with Fabric Guard 303.

Some riders comment that they don’t want to remove the jacket to put on the liner. I don’t know of any riders that put on a rain suit before it starts to rain. Trying to put a rain suit over a wet jacket is by far more difficult than simply removing the jacket in seconds, slipping on the liner, and then putting on the jacket over the liner. It is not necessary to zip the liner into the jacket for quick on off situations.

Wearing the liner underneath the waterproof membrane breathes much better when it is closer to the skin. Our long distant riders love wearing the Aero-Tex Liners in a sleeping bag or when walking around the campground during cold nights.

Outer rain gear has a short life span. If you hit a branch or simply fall off the bike when on the kickstand a rain suit can rip. Many of our riders crash wearing the Aero-Tex Rain Liner with no damage to the inner liner. Expect to get many years of optimal performance from our Aero-Tex Liners.

Sizing

If you are getting the Aero-Tex Liner for a Jacket purchased from Motoport in the last two years, we should have all your measurements on file. Simply place the order. Let us know that you purchased the Jacket and give the approximate time of purchase.

If you are purchasing a liner for a jacket that is more than two year old we need the following information:

1. Size of jacket.

2. Zipper number of jacket. (This is located close or next to the small white size tag. Usually numbers 3 to 9.)

3. Sleeve length of jacket.

4. Torso length of jacket.

Follow these instructions to measure for correct sleeve length:

a. Lay the jacket on the floor with the back down and main zipper facing up.

b. Slide a cloth tape measure under the base of the collar in the center (where the spine of the neck goes up).

c. Go straight out around the outside edge between the jacket and floor around the shoulder and elbow, down to the end of the cuff.

d. Note: Some jacket sleeves will preshrink or wrinkle up at the cuffs after wearing. If the cuffs are unzipped and it is possible to pull them down below the wrist, make sure to deduct this extra amount extending past the wrist.

To determine correct torso length, measure from the base of the front neck (just below the adams apple,) down to the front base hem of the jacket.

Please call or email your measurements to ensure proper fit. For riders that require custom sizing please call 800-777-6499 or email motoportusa@earthlink.net
