Ultra II Air Mesh Jacket

The following mentions of the words “Stretch” and “Mesh” refer to the materials Made with Dupont™ Kevlar® Fiber.

Motoport makes the Ultra II Jacket in different materials.  Ultra II Cordura Light, 1000 Denier Ultra II Cordura, Ultra II Stretch Jacket and the jacket found here, the Ultra II Air Mesh Jacket.  Each one of these jackets have the same appearance/style.  The main difference are the materials used to make each jacket.  The Ultra II Air Mesh Jacket’s entire front/back and outer sleeves are made with Mesh .

Stretch is located inside the sleeves and in the back shoulder pleats.  There is no restriction of air flow with the open Mesh weave.  The Ultra II Air Mesh Jacket is our most protective/versatile compared to all the other Ultra II Jackets.  This jacket is the best Ultra for hot weather.  When the optional Aero-Tex Jacket Liner is worn, all the Ultra II jackets perform close to the same In cold/wet weather.

The Ultra II is a 3/4 length jacket. Read: Waist Cut Jackets vs 3/4 Length Jackets Here

Sizing Guide:
To ensure proper sizing Motoport needs: Height / Weight / Sleeve (from center at base of neck around outside of arms to bend in wrist). To give us the most accurate sleeve measurement, follow the Dress Shirt Sleeve instructions below. Actual Chest / Actual Waist. (No jacket or pant sizes.)Do not inhale when measuring chest. Waist should be measured where you tighten the belt. All measurements taken in a relaxed position. Tape measure should also be comfortable, not tight or loose.NOTE:If ordering Aero-Tex liner we need a neck circumferance measurement at collar height or 2″ from the base of your neck.Follow these instructions to measure for correct sleeve lengthMeasuring a motorcycle jacket alone is not good. Please help to confirm the proper sleeve length by measuring a Dress Shirt Sleeve length as shown below. Also make sure to mention when providing this measurement, that this is a dress shirt sleeve length not a jacket sleeve length measurement, measured as shown in Sizing Detail.

Note: Your dress shirt sleeve measured as shown above should be approximately 2″ shorter than the jacket sleeve length measured.

After we receive the above measurements, we will advise if any other measurements are necessary.

Features

• World’s top rated, lightweight, perforated Tri-Armor that fully covers: Back, shoulders, elbow/forearms and chest. All Tri-Armor is in Velcro secured pockets and can be removed. Motoport’s Tri-Armor covers more of the body that any other motorcycle apparel available. This provides the world’s best coverage for over all impact protection. Tri-Armor molds to the body in 30 minutes or less. After initial break the armor becomes comfortable with no restriction of movement. The perforated armor doesn’t make the jacket warmer in hot weather. The armor pulls the suit material away from the skin providing an air space, allowing the armor to breathe. CLICK HERE to view the jacket Tri-Armor.

• Will not conduct cold or heat like leather or nylon so even black works great for hot weather. No venting necessary, the entire jacket is a vent. Once the Aero-Tex Liners are worn underneath, the jacket works great for cold/wet weather. When the optional Aero-Tex Liners are installed in the Ultra II Air Mesh Jacket there is no difference in cold/wet weather compared to any of our other jackets.

• 3-8 pounds lighter than leather. Does not shrink or harden or need conditioning. Tear/Abrasion strength will remain strong ever after many years of riding. Leather can lose up to 20% of it’s tear abrasion strength each time it gets wet and dries.

• Water resistant. After a rainfall the jacket will dry in minutes when riding. Wearing the optional Aero-Tex Liner the jacket is 100% Waterproof/Windproof/Breathable.

• All critical seams are Safety Lock Stitched. All construction seams have over 2000 pound strength. See Safety Lock

Stitching in Motoport Dictionary

• No Polyurethane coating. It is impossible to sweat in this jacket when moving at speeds of over 10 mph.

• All zippers top quality Heavy Duty YKK

• Velcro adjustments on the lower back of the jacket. Two additional Velcro adjustments are located on bottom outside hem of the jacket.

• YKK zip closure sleeve cuffs with additional adjustable snaps.

• Stretch , Fleece lined adjustable snap collar.

About Materials Made with Dupont™ Kevlar® Fiber

Why is this better? The Mesh is 10 times stronger than leather and less than half the weight. See “Save Your Hide” to learn more about the tear and abrasion strength. The world’s first all season Marathon Air Mesh Jacket that will take you from -20F to 85F with optional two part Waterproof/Windproof/Breathable zip in Aero-Tex liner. Remove the liner and have a fully breathable jacket or pant that will take you from 60f to 120F. You don’t need two or three different riding outfits for different weather. The Ultra II Air Mesh jacket is great for any weather.

See: Why remove the Aero Tex in Motoport’s Dictionary. Only the best materials are used. Ask what the other Air Mesh Jackets and Pants are made of. All that Motoport has seen are made of Polyester that has a 100% Polyurethane Coating. Polyester has poor tear/abrasion strength along with a very low melting range. Adding Polyurethane coating to Polyester is like adding gas to a fire. Sliding on pavement with any other Air Mesh jacket or pant is not safe. We have seen many riders with permanent skin damage where the Polyurethane coating melted into the skin. When Polyurethane melts, skin grafts are required to fix the damage. Plastic melting into the skin doesn’t heal. (See Polyurethane in Motoport’s Dictionary)

The new Ultra II Air Mesh material has the highest tear strength of any motorcycle jacket ever made! 500 Denier Cordura (the best material companies use for overall construction will tear at 22lbs). The Air Mesh material tears at 1260lbs!! Take your body weight and multiply that by the speed on a motorcycle. All the other nylon jackets and pants made can tear at a low speed tumble! If the best material of all other synthetic jacket/pants tears at 22 pounds, imagine how poor the seam strength is! No other leather suit or synthetic suit has proper seam strength. Motoport Safety Lock Stitches all of the construction seams that will provide more than 2000 pounds of tear strength.

Abrasion strengths of Polyester are not even close to adequate for riding a motorcycle on pavement. Click on “Save Your Hide” to see more on material strength. Also click on “Testimonials” to read stories about riders that love the Air Mesh Suits.
